Three Courses. One Considered Path.
Whether you're starting fresh or ready to address the full picture, each Narai Studies course is designed to meet you where you are — in Bangkok, in English, in a small and honest group.
← Back to HomeOur Teaching Approach
Each Narai Studies course is structured around a weekly rhythm rather than a content-delivery sprint. A concept is introduced live, discussed through case examples drawn from Thai household situations, reflected on through written exercises, and then revisited in the following session before the next concept arrives.
Individual sessions with a qualified instructor are scheduled at the midpoint and end of each course — not as optional extras, but as built-in parts of the programme. This is where learners work through their own specific situations, rather than the generalised case studies used in group sessions.
All courses are available to new learners who have not studied with us before, and each is also designed to stand alone — you do not need to complete a lower-level course first if your existing knowledge is sufficient for a higher level.
Enrolment and orientation
Materials are sent before the first session. A brief individual call with a faculty member helps orient each learner to the cohort and the course format.
Weekly live sessions
Group sessions cover core topics, use Thai financial examples, and give space for questions from cohort members at similar life stages.
Reflection between sessions
Printed workbook exercises applied to the learner's own documents, circumstances, and questions — not abstract homework.
Individual instructor sessions
Scheduled one-to-one time to address the learner's specific situation, questions, and next steps after the course ends.
Beginning Financial Awareness for Mid-Life
A patient seven-week orientation for learners taking their first careful look at their financial situation after forty. There is no assumption of prior financial study — only a willingness to look honestly at what is actually there.
Topics include understanding monthly household cashflow, reading Thai bank and retirement account statements, reviewing existing insurance with a thoughtful eye, and establishing small savings routines that reflect real household circumstances.
- Weekly live sessions (7 sessions)
- Small cohort: maximum 12 participants
- Printed reflection workbook included
- 2 individual mentor conversations
- Suitable for first-time structured study
Practical Investment Thinking for Mid-Career
A nine-week course for learners who have some investment experience and want to review their holdings with fresh, careful eyes. Not a course for complete beginners — best suited to those who already hold Thai or overseas accounts, funds, or property and want a more informed perspective.
Topics include reviewing investment inventories across Thai and overseas accounts, evaluating fund holdings through their official documents, considering property within a broader picture, building practical rebalancing discipline, and designing an allocation suited to the decade ahead.
- Weekly live sessions with Thai case discussions
- Personal portfolio review template provided
- 3 individual review sessions with certified instructor
- Small cohort — real conversation, not a lecture
Comprehensive Later-Life Planning Program
A fourteen-week advanced programme for learners ready to bring retirement income design, estate planning, healthcare cost planning, and family wealth conversations into a coordinated whole. This is the most thorough offering at Narai Studies.
The programme is delivered by a multidisciplinary faculty: a senior financial planner, a Thai inheritance attorney, a healthcare finance specialist, and a family communication coach. Participants complete a comprehensive personal financial organisation binder, attend three in-person gatherings in Bangkok, meet individually with each faculty member, and receive twelve months of follow-up advisory correspondence.
- Enrolment strictly limited to 7 learners per intake
- 3 in-person gatherings at Bangkok learning centre
- Individual session with each of the 4 faculty members
- Comprehensive personal financial binder completed
- 12 months of post-course advisory correspondence

Shared Standards Across All Courses
Learner Privacy
Financial details shared in individual sessions are held in confidence. Cohort discussions do not require disclosure of personal figures.
Current Content
Course materials are reviewed before each intake to reflect current Thai financial regulations, fund documents, and estate law.
No Upselling
Individual sessions are for learning, not for selling the next programme. Faculty members do not promote products or services during instruction.
Completion Certificate
Each learner who completes a course receives a certificate of completion from Narai Studies — useful for personal records and workplace continuing education logs.
Mid-Course Feedback
Learners are invited to give structured feedback at the midpoint of every course. The faculty responds to cohort feedback in real time where possible.
Consistent Scheduling
Session times are set at enrolment and do not change. All courses operate on Bangkok time (ICT, UTC+7).
